My 50th state!!!

Idaho will forever hold a special place in my heart because visiting was what allowed me to say I achieved my dream of visiting every state in the nation. I was there as part of a road trip across the northwestern United States. It was the summer of COVID-19 and while cases of the virus were relatively low at the time, it was still very much a thing. International travel wasn’t an option; the borders were still closed, but my travel bug was itching. It dawned on me that I only had 3 states left to visit before I could say I had been to them all. So, I decided to plan a road trip. My friend Sam was gracious enough to accompany me and we had quite the time spending a week crossing North Dakota, Montana and Idaho off my list. We spent time in Wisconsin and Utah, too. It’s a trip I think of often and remember fondly. One of those classic, Americana road trips and something I would very much recommend! Especially for soaking up the great outdoors.
