In the summer of 1996 my parents, brother, grandma and I drove to Missouri for a vacation. First we stopped in St. Louis spending a few days there, then traveled further south to Branson and the Ozarks. One state for the whole trip wasn’t enough for my dad though so we ended up venturing further south into Arkansas. We spent a day in the northern part of the state driving through small towns, stopping when we saw something of interest or when we got hungry like to eat at a diner then later for ice cream.
