I’ve had the joy of visiting the Netherlands twice. The first time while country hopping during the summer of 2009. And the second as a stop on the way home from the Maldives and UAE. I stayed in Amsterdam both times. It’s such a fun city and a place I would gladly return.

My second time there I really wanted to branch out and visit other cities more extensively — Delft, Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam. Had the time so it seemed like why not? I had minimal support though from the person I was traveling with and was too scared to do all those day trips alone. Funny how now I cross countries, oceans and continents on my own without a second thought 🙃 I’m proud of me. And one day I’ll make good on visiting all of those cities solo.
