The scenic picture on the right was taken on a digital camera I’m pretty sure I had when I graduated high school. And look how dreamy it is. So now just imagine what that same photo would look like on an iPhone.. digital camera.. DSLR.. or mirrorless today. With our current technology. Better yet, in person. Yea, that’s Switzerland in a nutshell. A walking photograph. Well, I guess countries don’t walk, but the idea is there — everywhere is stunningly beautiful and photo worthy.

I was there for a few days in the summer of 2009. Based in Lauterbrunnen. I ate my weight in cheese, Raclette and a whole bunch of fondue. Chocolate, too. Took a train to the top of Europe at Jungfraujoch. And am pretty sure my friend and I got laughed at behind our backs for going around asking where to find Birkenstocks 😅 Worth it though.

Also fun fact, I went to Jungfraujoch wearing shoes several sizes too big for me. I had only packed sandals for our trip, don’t ask me why and soon realized they would not make suitable footwear for the top of a mountain covered in snow lol. Thankfully I had made a friend who lent me a pair of sneakers to wear. Even if I did look like a clown walking around 🤪
