Portugal was a trip I planned because of a pair of tomato shorts. Yes, you read that correctly 🍅🩳
And to those tomato shorts I will forever be grateful. This trip pushed to me to create, then ended up being a week of exactly what I needed — rest, respite, beauty, challenge, exploration and inspiration. Lisbon & I were two Pisces in a pod.
I got to delight in being me and feel the satisfaction of following through. I love this little life of mine and Lisbon helped me confirm. It’s a gem of a city. And not just because it helped me. It’s pretty, storied, cultured, coastal. It has beaches, castles, peacocks and everything in between. The sun shines ~300 days per year and puts on beautiful shows across all of the miradouros when it does. The locals are warm & friendly. The wine and pastries are delicious and aplenty. And the shopping? Oh my word… what a buyer’s dream! Bonus that there’s a workout baked into the route of every destination with cobblestones, stairs and hills on the way to wherever you’re going.
The kind of place where you go for one reason and come home with so much more.
PS — Lisbon is especially good for the girls
